Congleton and the Battle of Mons

The Battle of Mons was the first major battle the British army fought in the Great War. The British Expeditionary Force faced overwhelming odds and in later years its success was attributed by some to divine intervention. The talk which will start at 2:00 pm is free to Friends of the Museum; the cost to none members will be £2.
