A large World War One commemorative weaving is being created at Congleton Museum by Trish Lovell. Every Saturday from the 9th August to the end of November, Trish will be at the museum creating the large green field to which poppies can be attached. Trish hopes that people will come with last year’s or this year’s poppies and pin them to the woven field. Visitors are very welcome to write their name, the name of a loved one, or even a poem, on the back of their poppy. Poppies will also be available from the museum; all donations will be split between The Royal British Legion and Congleton Museum.
