Vacancy: Museum Development Officer

Six month contract (may extend)

(part time, 19.5 hours a week over 3 days)

We are looking for someone with experience and enthusiasm to assist with the development of Congleton Museum at this interesting and challenging time in  its history.

Your duties may include: volunteer recruitment, training and induction; some administrative work, including opening and closing the museum and supervising front of house volunteers; supervising the implementation of a modern collection management system; and initiating grant applications and other fund raising activities in collaboration with the trustees.

You will be the public face of the museum, managing its website and social media, and integral to its publicity and marketing strategy.

The salary is £13.50 per hour (£13,689 per annum).  The contract is initially for six months, but it may be possible to extend it or convert it to a permanent post at the end of that time.
