| This booklet relates how one of Congleton’s major textile manufacturers of the 20th century, Stott and Smith, came to be established and how production was organised at the Congleton factory. It is based upon the author’s family’s long association with the business; his father working there from the age of 14 to his retirement, as manager, in 1960. |
