Elizabeth’s Heritage Walk
A Walk by Elizabeth's Group
Join us on Sunday 30 June at 2pm for a walk around Congleton Town Centre, focussing on the history of Elizabeth Wolstenholme-Elmy.
£10 per adult, children under 16 are free.
Meet at the museum at 2pm and pay on the door, the walk will last for around 1 hour. No pre-booking is required. Once the group has gathered, the walk will commence. The walk will be led by members of the Elizabeth’s Group who will transport you back in time, you will learn about the various buildings in the town associated with Elizabeth, and also about her triumphs fighting for women to have equal rights.
Following the walk, there will be a cream tea back at the museum with locally made scones, and seasonal jams – provided by The Old Saw Mill.
Please let the museum know of any allergies or dietary requirements at least 72 hours in advance.
For information on the walk itself, please contact Susan Munro by emailing elizabethwelmy@gmail.com.
