Commemorating 150 years since the opening of the present town hall, this full colour booklet is an in depth study of the site, which has been the centre of the town’s administration for over 750 years, from the 14th century through to the present day. The authors look at the way in which the site has been developed culminating in the opening of the present building in 1866 and its subsequent restoration at the end of the 20th century.
